Park Street Corridor Improvements
The City of Alameda has announced its Public Works Department will begin work on traffic signal upgrades along the Park Street corridor between Blanding and Encinal avenues starting Monday, May 21. The project is estimated to be completed by the end of August.
The project includes amending traffic timing, and installing sensors to detect the presence of vehicles and emergency vehicle preemption. In effect, the traffic signals are receiving upgraded technology. Traffic signal equipment upgrades will be done at several intersections with Park Street including: Blanding, Clement, Buena Vista, Santa Clara and Central avenues and Tilden Way.
