Alameda City Manager Jennifer Ott gave City Council and community members an update on the cause of the Fruitvale and High Street bridges being inoperable during last Sunday’s power outage. Ott gave a summary of the events at the Feb. 21 City Council meeting.
The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) has recently received $13.4 million in funding from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
Portions of Alameda and Oakland were without power Sunday, Feb. 19, after a fire broke out at the PG&E substation at in the area of 5000 Coliseum Way. More than 54,000 residents in Oakland and Alameda were reported to have lost power on Sunday.
