Nominations Open for Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame
Nominations are being accepted for the Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame, honoring extraordinary women who make a difference in the community. Honorees will be celebrated at the 27th annual Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame luncheon and awards ceremony in the spring, co-hosted by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors and the Alameda County Commission on the Status of Women.
The Women’s Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations in 13 categories: business and professions; community service; culture and art; education; emerging leader; environment; health; justice; non-traditional careers; philanthropy; science, technology, engineering and mathematics; sports & athletics; and youth.
More than 240 women have been inducted into the Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame since its inception in 1993.
