News in Brief
BART Closures Coming Up
BART will be suspending all transbay train service for five days in early August and September. No trains will run through the Transbay Tube on the weekends of Aug. 1 and 2, and Sept. 5, 6 and 7, in order to perform critical track maintenance. The dates were chosen due to the low number of expected riders on those days.
A substantial "bus bridge" is planned for passengers travelling between Oakland and San Francisco during both weekends.
The remainder of the BART system will operate under a modified schedule and service plan that will maintain the normal weekend service whenever possible.
