New Health Center to Open
Alameda residents now have a new health-care choice in Optimized Wellness Center, a health and wellness center, which hosts its grand opening Tuesday, Sept. 13. The celebration will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and will feature appetizers, drinks, raffle prizes, health screenings and tours of the facility.
Husband and wife team Dr. Tim Heath, DC, and Dr. Nina Campagna, ND, own the clinic. The center takes a unique approach to health and healing. “We emphasize identifying the root cause of a health challenge,” said Dr. Campagna, a board-certified primary care doctor, who specializes in naturopathic and functional medicine. “We work to uncover the root cause of a person’s health condition, then correct it at the source using natural therapies when possible.”
The center specializes in the treatment of many health conditions, including but not limited to: fatigue, pain, headaches, thyroid imbalance, muscle soreness, neuropathies, insomnia, diabetes, cardiovascular issues, joint pain, gastrointestinal issues, adrenal insufficiency, weight management, hormone imbalance, autoimmune conditions, allergies, joint pain and many others.
A visit to Optimized Wellness Center is unlike most doctor visits. Each patient has the undivided attention of the doctor for a full hour. During that hour, patients have the opportunity to discuss their health history, current health challenges and goals. A five-point objective examination is also performed as a baseline health screening in addition to any other relevant orthopedic and physical exams. The five-point examination includes a Nobel Prize-winning technology to noninvasively assess a person’s overall nutritional status;
NASA-developed technology that assesses nerve and muscle function; detailed biometric data and an in-depth postural analysis.
“By spending time and truly listening to our practice members while asking targeted questions, we can see the relationships between all of the body’s interconnected systems. We then custom tailor a plan of treatment recommendations that will support each individual’s body back to a state of balance and enable each person to feel their best,” explained Dr. Heath, DC.
Functional lab testing and a thorough history can help us get to the root-cause of the gastrointestinal issues in this scenario, and providing natural therapies without the side effects of medications, will allow for true resolution of symptoms.
Some of the natural therapies that are utilized by the doctors include: nutrition, lifestyle modifications, botanical medicine, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, nutritional supplementation, prolotherapy, manual adjusting of the spine and extremities, activator, cold laser, whole body vibration, flexion-distraction and others.
Some of the functional testing utilized at the Center include testing for: food sensitivities, male and female hormone imbalance, adrenal insufficiency, parasites, nutrient deficiencies, mold exposure, comprehensive thyroid evaluation, cardiac biomarkers and lipid particle size, antioxidants and more.
You can find out more about the natural therapies and functional testing listed above by calling the Center.
