Mortgage Rates Down Again

Freddie Mac’s July 1 Primary Mortgage Market Survey showed that the 30-year fixed rate mortgage fell 6 basis points from last week’s 3.04 percent to 2.98 percent.

“Economic growth remains steady and is bolstering more segments of the economy,” Freddie Mac stated in its report. In the first week of July, 2021, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.06 percent.

The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage fell 1 basis points from last week’s 2.55 percent to 2.45 percent.
