Mastick Center to Host Open House

Mastick Senior Center Alex Reisbord places stained glass panels crafted by members of Mastick Senior Center in preparation for the Aug. 26 open house.

Mastick Senior Center, 1155 Santa Clara Ave., will host an open house and resource fair from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 26. This is the fourth year of this event that showcases some of the work done by Mastick members.

The fair also gives all adults and working seniors a chance to receive information regarding the programs offered at the center. Local organizations will be on hand providing information relating to health care, transportation, safety, meals and general well-being.

The center opened its doors on July 1, 1980, and currently serves more than 3,600 members; 200 of these members lead the facility programs both on and off campus. Membership at the center is free to those age 50 and older. For more information call 747-7506.
