Local Student Achieves Highest Possible Score on College Test

A senior at St. Joseph Notre Dame High School, Zavier Annis, earned the highest possible composite score of 39 on the American College Test (ACT). According to ACT Chief Executive Officer Marten Roorda, this places Annis as one of the approximately 3,700 students who receive a perfect score among the more than 1.9 million students who take the test. This equates to .02 of 1 percent of students nationwide.

“Your achievement on the ACT is significant and rare,” stated Roorda in a letter to Annis. “Your exceptional scores will provide any college or university with ample evidence of your readiness for the academic rigors that lie ahead.”

ACT is described as a curriculum-based achievement exam that measures what students have learned in school. To see how the test works in detail, visit www.act.org.
