Library to Host Harry Potter Party and Book Swap for Young Readers
Can’t wait for the new Harry Potter script, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, to be released? Are you looking for new books to read? Join fellow fans to celebrate the script the day before it’s released and swap books with other teen readers.
The library’s Harry Potter Party and Book Swap is scheduled for Saturday, July 30. The event is open to teens only. The party will be from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Regina K. Stafford Room at the Main Library on 1550 Oak St. Come and play Bertie Bott’s Bean Boozled, the game of chance where players have to choose between identical delicious and foul-tasting jelly beans. Bring teen/young adult books to swap with other readers. Witches, wizards and muggles, ages 13 to 18, are all welcome.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be released on Sunday, July 31. The script is based on a story by J.K. Rowling and will feature Harry and his friends as adults. The story will be presented on stage in London’s West End and released as a script worldwide.
