In preparation for the holidays, the Leisure Club of Alameda bought gifts for family and friends at the South Shore Shopping Center on Thursday Dec. 1. Accompanied by Alameda Kiwanis Club volunteers and Leisure Club leaders, they made their purchases and then celebrated with hot chocolate and sugar cookies at the local Starbucks.

The Leisure Club is a fun, activity-based program specifically designed to meet the specialized recreational needs of persons with developmental disabilities in our community. Activities include talent shows, arts & crafts, local trips, parties and dinners, shopping and much more.
