Learn about Lunar New Year
The Bay Farm Island Library, 3221 Mecartney Road, will bring in the Year of the Dog with a special Lunar New Year event from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10. The highlight of the program will be a multimedia story time for children ages five and above.
A guest storyteller from the Asian Art Museum will highlight the day with the ways different cultures throughout Asia celebrate Lunar New Year. The festivities will feature crafts, light refreshments and the possibility of surprise entertainment.
Storytime begins at 2 p.m. in the Leydecker Recreation & Parks Building next to the library. Entrance is at the back of the building or through the library. Craft making and other activities will be taking place in the library throughout the afternoon.
This program is presented in conjunction with the Asian Art Museum and has been facilitated through an Arts and Culture Grant from the Rotary Club. It is free and open to all.
