Kids Can Try Virtual Reality at the Library Saturday
New virtual reality technology allows players to experience a whole new world. Teens are invited to try it out for themselves using the Alameda Free Library’s new Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset Saturday, July 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. Experience a new reality using the headset and controllers to experience space, build robots and much more.
Meet up in the Teen Zone in the Stafford Room to play the Oculus Rift, and while others take their turns, learn to play board games like “Exploding Kittens”, “Fluxx”, “Tsuro”, “Codenames” and more. Games will be played throughout the event and snacks will be provided. The library will provide a selection of board games and participants may also bring their own games to play.
The Main Library is located at 1550 Oak St.
Contact Teen Librarian Hallie at email@example.com with questions or to RSVP for the event.
