Portia Weiman of Castro Valley and William Weiman III of Livermore are pleased to announce the wedding of their daughter Brandi Jordan to Max Kelly Vargas, son of Fidel Vargas of Baldwin Park, Calif., and the late Melissa Vargas of LaVerne, Calif. 

The bride and groom were married on Saturday, June 23, in Oakland at the historic Camron-Stanford House by Deputy Marriage Commissioner of Alameda County, Jacqulyn Talavera. 

The bride is a graduate of Saint Barnabas Elementary School and Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda. The couple met in February 2008 at the University of California Santa Barbara where the bride studied business economics with a minor in English. The groom double majored in business economics and mathematics. 

The newly Mrs. Vargas is a former Oakland Raiderette of the Year and works as an associate vice president, SOX controls analyst for Union Bank. The groom will begin his new position as a senior data and policy analyst for XQ Institute, following the couple’s honeymoon in Italy. 

They are excited to begin their new life as husband and wife together in Alameda with their rescue dog, Olive.
