The Encinal High School women's varsity soccer team celebrated Valentine's day with a 3-0 victory over El Cerrito High School in the first round of NCS Div. III playoffs. Encinal junior Catherine Price got the Jets scoring started early with a 30-yard direct kick. Soon thereafter Encinal senior Angie St. Denis sent a cross pass which found Josie Ferris who put the ball in the back of the net for the Jets second goal. St. Denis added a final goal in the second half, sending the fifth-seed Jets to the second round of playoffs against second-seed Marin Academy. The game will be played at Encinal High this Friday at 7 p.m.
