Housing Authority Seeks Community Input
The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) is seeking public comment on how AHA builds and finances affordable homes in Alameda via the Alameda Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AAHTF).
AHA is asking residents to submit comments for their virtual Board Meeting on April 20 at 7 p.m. Written comments must be submitted by April 20 at 5 p.m. Comments can be submitted by mail or drop off, email or fax. To view instructions on how to submit comments and to attend the virtual Board Meeting, visit https://tinyurl.com/2p8jjzak.
Responses will provide insights for AHA’s future approach to financing affordable housing in the City of Alameda. Public examination of the guidelines of the AAHTF is vitally important to AHA’s focus on transparency and commitment to building affordable homes.
The State of California Local Housing Trust Fund program requires that there is an annual public hearing to hear comments on the AAHTF guidelines, for the purpose of discussing the criteria that will be used to select projects to be funded.
The AHA has provided a range of housing assistance to low-income households for more than 75 years.
The primary goal of the AHA is to provide quality, affordable, and safe housing in the City of Alameda.
