Housing Authority Partners with Firefighters’ Holiday Toy Program

Teamwork makes the dream work and in this case spreads holiday joy. In partnership with Alameda Firefighters Toy Program, the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) hosted a holiday gift card distribution event on Friday, Dec. 16 at AHA’s Esperanza Housing Community, located 1901 Third St.

Overall, 208 AHA households registered which resulted in 477 AHA children (17 and younger) receiving a $35 Target gift card from the Alameda Firefighters Toy Program.

In addition to a gift card, each household also received a raffle ticket to select a toy that originated from a toy drive organized by staff from the College of Alameda.

AHA thanked the group of volunteers that operated the Alameda Firefighters Toy Program, for their diligent and impactful work.

The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda has provided a range of housing assistance to low-income households for more than 80 years. The primary goal of the Housing Authority is to provide quality, affordable, and safe housing in the City of Alameda. To learn more about AHA, www.alamedahsg.org.
