High Schoolers to Conduct Mini Softball Clinics

Two Alameda High School (AHS) softball players will be conducting mini softball clinics throughout the month of January for players in the 8U and 10 Under divisions looking to expand their games.

Katy Lambert and Ava Pardo, both juniors on the AHS varsity softball team will be hosting mini clinics each Saturday between Jan. 7, 2023, and Jan. 28 at 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Attendees will take part in a multitude of softball drills including pitching, catching, outfield, infield, base running, and hitting.

Lambert and Pardo each have more than 10 years of softball experience through travel ball and grew up playing in the Alameda Girls Softball Association and for Alameda Blaze. The two players have since played on higher level travel teams.

Lambert and Pardo state that they both hold so much love for the game and would love to give back to young girls coming up in the game of softball before the start of their high school season.

Field location is pending. If there is a case where it rains or fields are unavailable, the location will be moved to a facility in Oakland. Sign-ups are first-come, first-served. Each clinic will hold a maximum of 12 players.

Before signing up, Lambert and Pardo ask that parents of perspective players fill out a questionnaire. Questions include the child’s name, birthdate and what position the child is most interested in playing. To fill out the questionnaire, visit https://tinyurl.com/bd86xsau.
