Baseball
• St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) defeated Albany High School, 3-2 (March 2); lost to Pittsburg High, 4-1 (March 4).
• Alameda High School (AHS) lost to Liberty High of Brentwood, 10-1 (March 2); defeated Patterson High School, 10-6; lost to Tracy High School, 3-2; tournament games (March 4).
• Encinal High School (EHS) lost to Castro Valley High School, 2-1 (March 2).
Softball
• SJND: no games
• AHS lost to Foothill High of Pleasanton, 5-4 (March 2).
• EHS lost to Acalanes High of Lafayette, 15-2 (March 3).
Men’s Volleyball
• SJND lost to San Leandro High School, 3-2 (Feb. 27); lost to Pittsburg High School, 2-1; defeated West High of Tracy, 2-0; defeated Northgate High of Walnut Creek, 2-0; lost to Washington High of Fremont, 2-0; tournament games (March 4).
• AHS lost to El Cerrito High School, 3-0 (Feb. 27); lost to Moreau Catholic of San Leandro, 3-0 (March 1); defeated Hayward High School, 3-0 (March 3); lost to Acalanes High, 2-1; defeated Mission High of Fremont, 2-1; defeated Monte Vista of Danville, 2-0; lost to Castro Valley High School, 2-0; tournament games (March 4).
• EHS lost to San Leandro High, 3-0 (March 1).
Track-and-Field
Members of the Alameda High School (AHS) competed in the Sunset Invitational at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco (March 3)
• AHS sophomores Nathan Long (25.06) and Landon Garcia (25.11) finished 16th and 17th respectively, out of 110 participants in the men’s 200-meter race. He finished with a time of 5:28.36.
• Garcia (57.64) finished 11th out of 84 participants in the men’s 400-meter race.
• AHS sophomores Aaron Stroller (2:14.56) and Naveen Dawson (2:15.20) finished 14th and 15th respectively out of 127 participants in the men’s 800-meter race.
• AHS freshman Hazel Henrickson finished 11th (29.57) out of 68 participants in the women’s 200-meter race and 11th (1:08.38) out of 67 participants in the women’s 400-meter race.
• AHS junior Lindsay Todaro (2:34.35) and senior Sophia Carpenter (2:34.69) finished eighth and ninth respectively out of 76 competitors in the women’s 800-meter race.
