Help out the Hornet at Upcoming Crab Feed
The USS Hornet Sea, Air and Space Museum has prepared an evening of good fun and great food that will benefit the museum’s ongoing mission Saturday, Feb. 16. The family friendly event will feature a raffle with prizes for all ages.
Crab feasters will enjoy a generous portion of crab, pasta and garlic bread, salad, dessert and a no-host bar featuring pourings from 2TownsCider, Old Kan Brewing and Alameda Island Brewing Company.
Servers for the evening will be ladies from East Bay United and Bay Oaks Soccer Club, one of the premier soccer clubs in Northern California. With more than 2,500 players, the club offers world-class soccer experiences at all levels — from the neighborhood recreation team to competitive teams competing at the highest levels in the nation.
Raffle prizes include: Southwest Airline tickets, two single-day admission tickets to Gilroy Garden, a Winchester Mystery House Mansion tour for two, a guided tour and tasting for four at St. George’s Spirits, one round of golf for four players at Chuck Corica Park, plus gift certificates to Alameda Bicycle, Rubio’s, Sports Basement and more. Raffle tickets cost $5 or 5 for $20.
Tickets are on sale now and cost $65 for general admission, $60 for early birds and $75 for special VIP tickets. Tickets include dinner and access to the Hornet’s Hanger Bay exhibits.
Tours will be available only for VIP ticket holders from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Tour locations may include: Island Structure, Second Deck Exhibits or Ghost Stories in the Foc’sle.
