Help Boost the Jets

Todd Palmer Jets water polo and swim programs received booster funds last season to help purchase and install new stadium seating at the Encinal High Aquatic Center. A crab feed set for Saturday, Feb. 25, will raise funds for this year’s teams.

Annual fundraiser benefits athletics at Encinal High

The annual Encinal High School Athletic Boosters fundraiser is set for Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Albert H. DeWitt O’ Club, located at 641 West Red Line Ave. The event includes silent and live auctions with a no-host bar and a dinner including crab, salad and dessert.

The event, in its 18th year, benefits Encinal High School sports programs. More than $25,000 was raised at last year’s crab feed and auction event, according to David Skaff, president of the Encinal High School Athletic Boosters Association.

“Support for Encinal High sports programs by local businesses and community members has enabled the auction to thrive,” Skaff said. “We receive direct cash, food and beverage donations, as well as, items for both our silent and live auctions. We simply couldn’t fund our sports programs without local business and community support.”

The event is the largest fundraiser of the year and allows the organization to provide financial support to sports programs throughout the year.

The event starts at 5 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person or $600 for a reserved table of 10. To buy tickets for the crab feed online, go to www.encinalboosters.org.
