Golf Club Posts Tourney Results

Dot Moody won the Alameda Women’s Golf Club’s net tournament event Thursday, July 11, on the Jack Clark Course. Moody posted a net 66 in the first flight among golfers with a 13 to 23 handicap. Moody also posted the best gross score of the event with an overall 88.

Tracey Perkins shot a net 68 for second place in the flight and second place in the overall tournament. Maggie Lindquist shot a net 72 for third place. Peggy Miller shot a net 75 for fourth place, while Candy Tom posted a net 76 to round out the top five in the flight.

Madeline Sally won the second flight — handicap of 24 to 30 — after shooting a net 70. Sonia Kwak and Chizu Holmes finished tied for second place with net 72s. Fran Mori and Pat O’Hara shot net 75s to tie for fifth place in the flight.

Yvonne Lee shot a net 69 to win the third flight — handicap of 31 to 34. Alice Wong posted a net 71 for second place. Louise Eilhardt shot a net 72 for third place in the flight. Angie Vaccarezza shot a net 76 for fourth place, while Dee Dee Appleton posted a net 78 for fifth in the flight.

Sandi Kaney posted a net 73 to win the fourth flight — handicap of 33 to 37. Jamie Totsuba-Hamono, Lynette Mladinich and Jan Peyrot tied for second place in the flight with net 74s. Vivian Kang shot a net 75 for fifth place.

Kay Park and Jean Eddy shot net 73s to tie for first place in the fifth flight — handicap of 38 to 40. Ruby Soo shot net 76 for third place in the flight. Siv Richards shot a net 77. Pam Curtis and Bev Blatt both shot net 82s for fifth place.

Miller won the closest-to-the-hole competition on the fifth hole with her ball landing 3’ from the pin. Herzberg won the competition on the 11th hole at 3’ 4” from the hole.

Forty-five golfers competed in the flight.
