Garden Tour Supports Animal Shelter

Succulent dish gardens were among the plants sold during the Alameda Support Foundation’s May 6 fundraiser for the animals at the Alameda Animal Shelter. Plant lovers visited 14 showplace gardens in Alameda and Bay Farm during the “Living Color” garden tour.

As a result of ticket and plant sales, plus its own donation, the Alameda Support Foundation will be donating some $5,000 to the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter to help the shelter carry on its mission of rescuing animals.
