The Alameda County Registrar of Voters (ROV) Office announced the June 7 Primary Election results have been certified. The final election results were released on Thursday, July 7. There were no major changes in results from the last update on June 15.
At its July 5 meeting, the City Council voted to increase Alameda’s Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT), also called Hotel Tax, from 10% to 14%. The change is subject to voter approval.
Alameda’s Fourth of July Parade was brought back to the Island City after a two-year pause due to COVID-19. More than 170 floats took part in the event. Every facet of the city was represented at the parade.
