Tai Chewpanich shot a net 75 for second place. Debbie Adams and Jackie Suh tied for third place in the flight with a net 77. Appleton shot her net 67 in the second flight — handicap of 25 to 31. Twenty-two golfers in all took part in the event.
Solmoro also won the closest-to-the-hole competition on the 16th hole to go along with her January charm. Her ball landed 5’ 4” from the hole. She beat out Eilhardt whose ball landed almost 10 feet further at 14’ 6” from its desired destination. Kay Park came in third place when her ball landed 17’ 6” from the hole. Pat O’ Hara won the competition on the seventh hole by shooting her ball 7’ 4” away from the hole. Appleton shot her ball 11’ 8” from the pin and Eilhardt came with 16’ 2” of the pin.
