The isolated the area and called Alameda Municipal Power (AMP). Firefighters turned the scene over to the AMP crewmembers when they arrived. 8:03 p.m. 2500 block of Monarch Street, commercial fire alarm; 8:55 p.m. 900 block of Shorepoint Court, apartment fire alarm; 9:50 800 block of Pacific Avenue, natural gas odor inside a residence. Firefighters used an atmospheric monitor, but found no hazardous natural- gas levels present. They ventilated the area and advised the resident to call back if odors returned.
