Fire responses: 3:11 p.m. 1200 block of Harbor Bay Parkway, smoke coming from dried brush near the roadway. Firefighters used a water extinguisher to cool the area down and ensure no fire ignited; 8:42 p.m. 100 block of West Hornet Avenue, response for an isolated wooden debris fire. Firefighters used a booster line to extinguish the burning debris. Fire origin considered suspicious and under investigation; 9:47 p.m. 1900 block of Sherman Street, fire crews used absorbent to remove a small amount of spilled gasoline from the street; 10:35 p.m. 1000 block of Peach Street, citizen assist.
Fire responses: 1:35 a.m. 1100 block of West Tower Avenue, reported isolated burning debris fire. Fire crews used a booster line to extinguish the pile of burning wood. The fire was considered suspicious in nature, and firefighters notified Alameda police to conduct an investigation; 6:46 a.m. 900 block of Marina Village Parkway, commercial fire alarm.

Fire responses: 11:22 a.m. 900 block of Park Street, response for motor oil spilled on the street secondary to a vehicle accident. Firefighters used an absorbant to remove the oil from the roadway; 12:09 p.m. 1500 block of Oak Street, commercial fire alarm; 11:20 p.m. 400 block of Buena Vista Avenue, response for a reported natural gas leak inside a residence. Firefighters arrived and determined there were no hazardous gas levels present. The crews advised the resident to have Pacific Gas & Electric Co. inspect all natural gas fittings for leaks.
