Tuesday, Sept. 23
Emergency medical responses: 3 a.m. Willow Street; 9:36 a.m. Fountain Street; 9:56 a.m. Island Drive; 10:36 a.m. South Shore Center, 12:27 p.m. Lincoln Avenue; 4:22 p.m. Clinton Avenue; 5:26 p.m. Beach Road; 5:58 p.m. Santa Clara Avenue; 7:35 p.m. Nason Street; 8:05 p.m. Ralph M. Fire responses: 2:49 p.m. Park Street Bridge, citizen assist.
3:27 p.m. 300 block of Oleander Avenue, report of an air conditioner on fire. Firefighters used a portable fire extinguisher to put out the fire. They made certain that the fire had not spread and ventilated the home of all residual smoke.
10:33 p.m. 3200 block of Briggs Avenue, residential fire alarm.
Fire responses: 8:02 p.m. 700 block of Atlantic Avenue, apartment fire alarm.
10:09 a.m. 400 block of Buena Vista Avenue, apartment fire alarm;
10:36 a.m. Central Avenue, block number not given, report of an outside odor. Firefighters identified the odor as evaporated fuel that had spilled onto the street. The vehicle had already left the scene.
12:59 p.m. 1000 block of Marina Village Parkway, commercial fire alarm.
2 p.m. 100 block of Sable Pointe, report of a residential structure fire. Firefighters found smoke in the residence and put out a small fire inside a wall that was under construction. They inspected the interior of the wall to make certain the fire was out. They ventilated the residence of all residual smoke, and turned off the power. The homeowner and contractor were on the scene.
6:46 p.m. 2100 block of Lincoln Avenue, report of smoke coming from an apartment. Firefighters discovered an apartment charged with smoke. They forced entry and discovered food left unattended on the stove. They turned off the power to the stove, removed the burned food and ventilated the residual smoke. Resident returned home and was told what had happened.
7:11 p.m. 1300 block of Marina Village Parkway, commercial fire alarm.
Thursday, Sept. 25
Emergency medical responses: 12:24 a.m. Second Street; 4:48 a.m. Regent Street; 9:26 a.m. St. Charles Street; 11:09 a.m. San Jose Avenue; 1:40 p.m. Shore Line Drive; 2:05 p.m. Pearl Street; 2:42 p.m. Puddingstone Road; 2:51 p.m. Central Avenue; 3:02 p.m. Sea Horse Drive; 5:51 p.m. Tilden Way; 6:13 p.m. Island Drive; 9 p.m. Central; 9:43 p.m. Poggi Street.
Fire responses: 9:17 a.m. Pan Am Way, block number not given, report of an engine fire on a bus. Firefighters found no active fire. Excessive heat was coming from the engine. They disconnected the battery cables and placed the bus out of service.
8:08 p.m. 1300 block of Marina Village Parkway, commercial fire alarm.
8:41 p.m. Palm Beach Lane, block number not given, residential fire alarm.
11:14 p.m. 900 block of Park Street, apartment fire alarm.
Friday, Sept. 26

Fire responses: 9:07 a.m. 2500 block of Blanding Avenue, report of a vehicle leaking fuel. Firefighters identified the vehicle in question, but it was not leaking fuel. Vehicle owner was having the vehicle towed for repairs. 9:23 a.m. 2100 block of Clement Avenue, report
of a water main break inside a commercial property. Firefighters turned off the water and helped remove standing water.
1:05 p.m. Pacific Avenue, block number not given, report of a small debris fire. Firefighters found a small pile of trash on fire on the street. They put out the fire with a water extinguisher.
2:50 p.m. Packet Landing Road, block number not given, report of a child locked inside a vehicle. Crewmembers used auto-entry tools to gain access to the vehicle and reunite the uninjured child with the parent.
3 p.m. 200 block of Central Avenue, report of smoke inside an Encinal High School hallway. Firefighters met school staff who told them that someone had set a trash can on fire in a bathroom. Staff had already put the fire out. Firefighters ventilated the hallway. The incident is under investigation.
6:28 p.m. 400 block of Buena Vista Avenue, apartment fire alarm; 10:14 p.m. 2100 block of Santa Clara Avenue, report of smoke in the area. Firefighters identified the smoke as coming from an overheated washing machine. They turned off the power to the machine and notified the building manager to have the appliance repaired.

Fire responses: 12:56 a.m. 1300 block of Regent Street, report of a residential structure fire;
1:11 a.m. 500 block of Willow Street, odor investigation at a commercial building. Firefighters determined odor was coming from a malfunctioning light ballast. They notified the property manager to replace the fixture.
