FAAS Receives State Farm Grant
Kelly Lux (middle, with her dog Lulu) recently helped Friends of Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) obtain a $10,000 grant from State Farm Insurance’s “100 For Good” community program. FAAS board president Julie Harris and CEO John Lipp accepted the check, which will be used for FAAS’s Healthy Pets Healthy People community assistance initiative.
Lux is a State Farm Insurance agent. She works with several other Alameda organizations, Including Girls Inc. of the Island City, The Boys and Girls Club, Alameda Family Services and Meals on Wheels.
She’s also part of the Alameda Chamber of Commerce, Board Chair, the Alameda Education Foundation Board and Bay East Association of Realtors.
