Eyestones Right at Home with 2020 Creation

Each year, Donna Eyestone and her daughter, Emma — pictured at the right with their 2017 creation of the Masonic building on Park Street— fashion a gingerbread house that replicates an iconic Alameda building and display their creations on location in December. Over the years, they have used their gingerbread skills to make Alameda’s Main Library, City Hall and the Croll’s building on Webster Street. “The year 2020 changes things a bit, so we decided that — after10 years of making other buildings — this year we'd pay special tribute to our own little Alameda Queen Anne,” Donna said. They created their latest masterpiece during the stay-at-home orders for display on their dining room table.
