Executive Director Retires
Some 30 years ago, Alameda resident Rosemary Reilly agreed to serve “temporarily” as the executive director of Alameda Meals on Wheels (AMOW). In 2004, she added the Alameda Friendly Visitors program to the services AMOW provides. Her tireless work over the three decades has gained recognition from the City of Alameda.
A proclamation celebrating her retirement states, “for the past 30 years, as a result of Rosemary’s hard work, dedication and compassion, AMOW has enhanced the lives of thousands of our Alameda neighbors, by allowing them to age in place, or recover from illness or injury in their own homes, by delivering regular, nutrious meals.”
The city designated June 2, 2020 as Rosemary Reilly Day.
