Whiskey Stroll 2023 — In person, 6 to 9 p.m.; Downtown Alameda (along Park Street) Ages 21 and older. An evening filled with drinks, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment at the Fifth Annual Downtown Alameda Whiskey Stroll. Alameda High School Drama Club presents: 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee — In person 7 p.m. (Sunday March 26 at 2 p.m.); Fred Chacon Little Theater, 2200 Central Ave. All ages. The Alameda High School (AHS) Drama Club will be performing renditions of the Tony Award winning musical that tells the story of “an eclectic group of six mid-pubescents [vying] for the spelling championship of a lifetime.” Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for students/seniors; $8 for students/with ASB. Hornet Ave. Alameda Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft will give her annual State of the City Address residents and business leaders in Alameda. Alameda City Manager Jennifer Ott, Alameda Chamber President and CEO Madlen Saddik and more will also speak to the public. The Alameda Chamber & Economic Alliance are organizers of the event.
