Encinal Jets Dominate Again

The Encinal Jets moved to 2-0 after their 46-6 drubbing of American of Fremont last Friday, Sept. 1, on Stargell Field. 

Senior quarterback Theori Oliver threw for three touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown in the game. Senior running back Abdul Holland rushed for 109 yards on just seven carries. He also rushed for three touchdowns. The Jets defense held American to under 150 total yards in the 40-point victory. 

The Jets scored four touchdowns in the opening quarter. They held a 46-0 lead after the third period. The Eagles scored their only touchdown in the final period. Encinal will next face Paradise, one of the few teams they lost to last year.

Alameda Hornets

The Hornets did not have a good opening to the 2017 season after they were defeated by Del Campo of Fair Oaks 55-0 Friday at home. Cougar quarterback Tyler Dimino tossed five first-half touchdowns. 

The Hornets will take on American on Friday, Sept. 8, on the road in their next game.
