Economic Development Strategic Plan Meeting

The 21-member community task force assembled to help draft the City’s Economic Development Strategic Plan (EDSP) will meet Monday, Jan. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Alameda’s Main Public Library, Stafford Conference Room, 1550 Oak St. The public is invited to attend as the task force reviews a draft of the EDSP.

The EDSP will be the city’s long-term (five- to 10-year) roadmap for business attraction, retention and workforce development activities, while improving the quality of life for Alameda residents and employees.

The public will have another opportunity to comment on the draft EDSP when it is presented in public hearings to the Mayor’s Economic Development Advisory Panel, the Planning Board and the City Council. Those public hearings are anticipated to be held later this winter and early spring.
