Pacific Shops, Inc., the present owner of Alameda Marina is looking to the future. In 2012 the city not only renewed Pacific Shops’ lease to the marina, but gave the company an initial 25-year term, with a 41-year extension if the city approves more development and that development takes place.

Nov. 16 was no ordinary Monday for Nea Community Learning Center’s junior class. Instead of their regular morning routine, they headed to Alameda City Hall, dressed to impress and ready to conduct a mock school board hearing.
