Downtown Alameda Hosts Third Annual Whiskey Stroll

Handcrafted small-batch whiskeys paired with yummy bites prepared by local chefs await guests as they stroll through Alameda’s historic district at the third Annual Downtown Alameda Whiskey Stroll on Friday, March 6, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Ticket holders will have the opportunity to visit unique downtown shops and spaces while tasting more than 10 different premium whiskeys from around the Bay Area and learning about the creative process behind each handcrafted flavor. Price of admission includes collectible tasting glass, whiskey tastings at the more than 10 downtown businesses, a delicious bite at each location prepared by downtown eateries, a commemorative guide as well as exclusive offers from downtown businesses.

“Our events help people discover that Alameda is a fantastic destination to shop, eat and play. The Whiskey Stroll is a unique opportunity that attracts downtown visitors who may not already be familiar with our diverse range of local businesses,” said Aviva Kellman, membership and events coordinator for the Downtown Alameda Business Association. “Talking to people at the event is always interesting. Guests enjoy coming to the Whiskey Stroll because it makes them feel like part of a community that is vibrant and active.”

Featured distilleries represented at the event come from different regions of the Bay Area. Distilleries from the East Bay include St. George Spirits from Alameda and Home Base Spirits and Wright & Brown Distilling Co. from neighboring Oakland. Other artisanal distilleries from San Francisco and beyond include: Griffo Distillery, Spirit Works Distillery, Raff Distillerie, Lost Republic Distilling Co., Corbin Cash Distillery, Hotaling & Co. Importer-Distiller and Seven Stills Brewery & Distillery. For those who find a favorite to take home, many of the whiskeys will be available for purchase at CRAFT Beer & Wine — Alameda’s premium bottle shop.

The Downtown Alameda Whiskey Stroll is sponsored by CRAFT Beer & Wine along with these other downtown tasting locations: Bonne Vie, Daisy’s, It’ll Do, Johnathan’s Sandwich House, LF Cochrane and Associates, Market & Nest, PHOENIX, Project Burger, RE/MAX Tribute, Sumbody and the Sumtime Spa, The Beanery of Alameda and The Local.
