The West Alameda Business Association (WABA) and the Oakland A’s will host a community forum to discuss the Major League Baseball team’s new stadium concept. Join the conversation!
Come learn about the Oakland A’s plans for a new Howard Terminal ballpark and redevelopment of the Oakland Coliseum site. The WABA-Oakland A’s Community Forum will be held on Wednesday, May 1, at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) at Michaan’s Auction Theater, 2700 Saratoga St. at Alameda Point.

Congratulations to the Oakland A’s and the City of Oakland on this exciting plan for a 35,000-seat waterfront stadium and regional entertainment center at Jack London Square. The A’s participation in discussions with the City of Alameda and willingness to support long-overdue transportation improvements — particularly from Oakland to the West End — are greatly appreciated.
Direct access between the highway and Alameda’s tubes and the potential of a bicycle bridge or gondola over the estuary from Jack London Square to West Alameda is exciting to West End businesses and residents alike.
WABA looks forward to the great opportunity of having the Oakland A’s as neighbors. With continued considerate planning, the Oakland A’s development is a huge win for Oakland, Alameda County and the Island City of Alameda.
