Create Frankentoys at Library
Are old toys collecting dust in your closet or attic? Come to the Library Laboratory and bring them to life again. Turn old stuff into freaky, Frankentoy creations by taking old items apart and sewing, gluing and taping them to other destroyed toys.
On Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 7:45 p.m., the Alameda Free Library will host a Frankentoy workshop for teens and adults, ages 13 and over, at the Main Library at 1550 Oak St. Bring stuffed animals, dolls, toy cars and action figures to destroy and take apart. Give that old action figure a third arm, a second head or a tail or two. The frightening possibilities are endless. The freaky Frankentoys will be displayed in the library after the event.
The library will provide all craft supplies. Artistic abilities and skills are not necessary and no registration is required. Call 747-7713 with any questions.
