Coffee Cups to Inspire Artists at the Library

Coffee Cups to Inspire Artists at the Library
What can be made out of a paper coffee cup? The library invites budding artists to challenge themselves to see what they can create from a simple paper cup and then put their creations on display. Draw, paint, cut, alter, or destroy a 12 oz. paper coffee cup to create a new work of art on Monday, Sept. 19, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at the Alameda Free Library. Coffee Cup Art Night is open to teens and adults, age 13 and over, at the Main Library on 1550 Oak St. Each participant in this craft program will be given paper coffee cups and the freedom to create. The completed coffee cup art pieces will be displayed in the library after the event.
The library will supply the coffee cups, markers, paint and other craft supplies artists will need to “espresso” themselves. Artistic abilities and skills are not necessary and no registration is required. Join this no-pressure event to create a coffee cup masterpiece and have a “latte” fun!
