City Posts Survey on Minimum Wage Increase

A 10-minute survey has been created to assess local residents’ and businesses’ interest in increasing the minimum wage in Alameda. Currently, the minimum wage in Alameda, which coincides with state legislation, is: $11 for businesses with more than 25 employees and $10.50 for those with 25 or fewer employees. Many Bay Area cities have passed local minimum wage ordinances to more quickly reach and exceed $15 per hour. The City of Alameda is considering doing so as well.

The last day to complete the survey is Friday, July 20. Residents or employees of Alameda businesses, visit: surveymonkey.com/r/minwage1. Alameda business owners, visit: surveymonkey.com/r/minwage2.
