City Council Candidate Hannah Groce

Hannah, a proud Alameda native, has dedicated her career and volunteer pursuits to supporting the advancement of equity. She has focused on social impact across various areas: education, criminal justice reform, and food and housing access, all to create stronger communities. Her career began at BUILD Oakland, working with high school students, and she is now a policy fellow at Partnership for the Bay’s Future, focused on affordable housing in the City and County of San Francisco.

Experience:
• Affordable Housing Policy Fellow, Partnership for the Bay’s Future
• Resident & Community Services, Oakland Housing Authority
• Systemic & Community Racism/Anti-Racism Subcommittee, Alameda Police Reform Racial Equity Task Force
• Pathways to Equity Fellow, Community Arts Stabilization Trust (CAST), Open Architecture Collaborative
• Director of Business Development & Marketing, Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education (ISKME)
• Academic & Business Program Manager, BUILD

Because I was blessed to grow up in Alameda, my family had a strong foundation, which provided the opportunity for me to achieve a higher education, then come home and give back to the community I love. Now I feel a responsibility to make sure our city remains safe, healthy, and stable—especially given the unpredictable future ahead. I’m optimistic about our future and committed to providing a solid foundation for the next generations. I would be honored to earn your support. www.hannah4alameda.com
