City of Alameda

The City of Alameda offers free COVID-19 testing by appointment only every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, until further notice. Visit www.alamedaca.gov/ALERTS-COVID-19/Get-Tested to schedule an appointment. Patients must complete a brief COVID-19 assessment and schedule a telemedicine appointment to speak with a medical provider. At that time, patients will receive available dates and times for testing appointments.

Anyone older than 2 years old is able to be tested. Individuals do not need to be experiencing symptoms to be tested and testing is provided at no cost. If you have insurance, enter your plan information when you schedule your appointment. If you do not have insurance, government funding will cover all costs.
Molecular PCR COVID-19 tests will be administered by medical personnel. At scheduled testing appointments, patients will be provided information on how to obtain your test results, which will be available within 48-72 hours.
Tests are administered at 2175 Monarch St. on Alameda Point by appointment only every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Once patients complete the assessment and schedule a telemedicine appointment to speak with a Medical Provider, they will receive available dates and times for testing appointments.

The State released a new website as well that allows the public to enter a zip code to find State testing facilities located nearby. How to get treatment
If you develop any of these warning signs for COVID-19, get emergency medical attention immediately:
> Trouble breathing
> Persistent pain or pressure in the chest.
> New confusion or inability to rouse
> Bluish lips or face
If you need to go to the hospital, call ahead so they can prepare for your arrival. If you call 911, tell the operator you have coronavirus symptoms so ambulance workers can be ready to treat you safely.
