Along with the 10 Alameda firefighters on mutual aid at wildfires in both Northern and Southern California, Alameda also dispatched a somewhat unusual first responder. Dr. Tim Heath of Optimized Wellness Center in Alameda provided free chiropractic services to first responders at the fairgrounds in Chico last weekend. Both evacuees from and first responders to the Camp Fire have benefited from Heath’s treatments. Heath also volunteered similar services to firefighters at the Tubbs Fire in September over multiple weekends. “This selflessness is a bright spot among the horrors of the fire,” wrote Alamedan Christy Kotowski. Heath posted the above photo on social media.
