Celebrate Mom at the Downtown Alameda Spring Festival
Bring Mom and the whole family to Downtown Alameda for a celebration of spring during 19th annual Downtown Alameda Spring Festival on Mother’s Day weekend. Enjoy art, music and dance during the Love Our Island Art Walk kick-off event on Friday night, May 10. Then continue the fun at the popular street fair on Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Arts & Crafts
Stroll among 150 arts and craft booths with items ranging from ceramics and metal art to paintings, photography, wood crafts, toys, handbags, clothing, jewelry and more.
Live Entertainment
Each day offers continuous live entertainment on three stages with talented musicians performing classic rock, bluegrass, fusion jazz, funk and other favorites.
Alameda Alley
An expanded area on Central Avenue will feature with an enlarged outdoor dining area and interactive activities. Set the kids loose in the new Children’s Discovery Tent to create their own masterpieces with the help of Twirl, Tutu School, Tinker Bus, and Swings & Wings.
Alameda Stage
The local stage sponsored by Common Networks will be rich with local talent including Amber Marie Knezevic (finalist at The Voice auditions in San Francisco), Michael Barrett (member of The Sun Kings), Dave May (host for Alameda’s Got Talent) and Roma Holiday (Island Fantasy at The Hobnob).
Kids’ Zone
A special area for kids and their families on Alameda Avenue will have bounce houses, face painting, bungee jumping, climbing wall, train ride and WaterBallerz!
Festival Food
Satisfy your taste buds with a festival food favorites such as Lockeford Sausage, hand dipped corn dogs, fried key lime calamari, crab fries, crepes, kettlekorn, dole whip and more!
Craft Beer & Wine
For the 21 and older crowd, quench your thirst at one of the three beverage booths serving craft beers by Alameda Island Brewing Company, premium wines by Alameda’s Rock Wall Wine Company and bubbly mimosas. Major credit cards are accepted at all three ticket booths.
Free Bike Parking
Secure bike parking will be available at Vietnam House (1527 Park St.). There couldn’t be a better way to experience the festival than before or after a pleasant ride along the charming streets of Alameda.
Stroll through Alameda’s downtown business district to explore the wonderful variety of shops and restaurants. With more than 150 artisans and more than 30 unique shops, this is the perfect place to find a gift for Mom. Or bring Mom along to the festivities and treat her to a mimosa and lunch. Many of the local businesses will also be offering weekend specials during the event.
The 19th annual Downtown Alameda Spring Festival is presented by the Downtown Alameda Business Association as a fundraiser for the district.
