Bay Farm Students Win District Awards

Bay Farm School student Benjamin Chee won the Intermediate Award of Excellence at the Peralta District level of the National PTA’s Reflections Art Program.

This year’s theme was “I will change the world by…”, and Chee’s photography piece won the competition. The piece is titled, “I will change the world by using reusable bottles.” In his entry, he wrote:

“I will change the world by using reusable bottles because single use plastic bottles pollute the ocean and kill sea animals. I wanted to show that reusable bottles makes a green world, and eventually if you use too many one use bottles the world will have no trees and sea life will die because you pollute too much. Half of the picture shows the one-use bottle and shows what will happen if we only use single use plastic. The other half shows a reusable bottle, and it shows what will happen if we use reusable bottles.”

Chee’s entry now goes to the state-wide level of the competition.
