After a 3-3 tie with rival Encinal on March 19, the Hornets have won seven straight including 3-0 at the annual Willie Stargell Classic. Alameda beat Encinal 7-4 in the final on April 4. The Hornets will take on Bishop O’Dowd of Oakland tomorrow in their next game.
The Encinal Jets started the season 5-0, including a 3-2 victory over Bishop O’Dowd that went to extra innings on March 6. However, the Jets have gone 3-4-1 in their last eight games. The team has an overall record of 8-4-1 and 2-3-1 in the WACC Shoreline League. The Jets will look to turn things around against Hayward tomorrow at home.
