Bank Selects Student Photographers for Calendar

Four Alameda student photographers have been chosen to contribute to Bank of Marin’s annual calendar. Among the 23 selected students from 11 local high schools are, Alameda High School students: Jeremy Chen, Sonia Chen and Mominah Khan and Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School student Johnny Tran Vu.

These students will have their photography featured in the bank’s 2019 community calendar. This marks the ninth year that Bank of Marin has worked with photography teachers and students at Bay Area high schools to select images for its calendars. This year, students submitted more than 200 images and judges at the bank made the final photo selections.

“There are so many talented high school students across our service area and we wanted to offer a platform to showcase their creativity,” said Russell A. Colombo, president and CEO of Bank of Marin. “Our annual calendar allows us to reinforce the importance of supporting arts programs in schools by featuring exceptional photographs taken by these students paired with a contribution to each participating high school.”

Bank of Marin will donate $100 to each participating high school’s photography program for the purchase of supplies and equipment.  The 2019 community calendars will be available for free at all Bank of Marin branches.
