AUSD Serving Free Meals Over Summer
Summer is here and Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) will be hosting free meals for those under 18 years of age Monday through Friday all summer long. Free breakfasts will be served at four locations: Alameda High School and Ruby Bridges Elementary through July 14 from 8 to 9 a.m., Alameda Point Collaborative through Aug. 11 from 9 to 10 a.m. and at Alameda Boys & Girls Club through Aug. 11 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
In addition to breakfast, AUSD will also be serving free lunches at four locations through Aug. 11 from noon to 1 p.m.: Alameda Boys and Girls Club, Alameda Point Collaborative, Washington Park, Shinsei Garden Apartments, and two schools: Alameda High School and Ruby Bridges Elementary through Aug. 11 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
AUSD will provide free breakfasts and lunches to those under age 18, every weekday except July 4. Young children may be accompanied by a guardian, but only the child will be served. No application is needed to participate, and it is completely free to those 18 and younger.
