AUSD Offers Free Meals to Eligible Students

The Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) provides free and reduced-price meals for children served under the National School Lunch Program, National School Breakfast Program, as well as the Afterschool Snack Program.

Through June 30, 2019, children are eligible for free or reduced-price meals if the household income is less than or equal to the federal guidelines. Households that receive notification letters saying that all children automatically qualify for free meals will not need to turn in an applications if any household member receives benefits from CalFresh, or CalWORKs. Otherwise, households may turn in an application at any time during the school year.
