APD Arrests Package Thief

 

In early May, Alameda Police Department (APD) detectives learned of an unknown subject, stealing packages from Bay Farm Island. homes. 

Neighbors had captured the thefts on video surveillance,  Through extensive work, the detectives identified the responsible party. 

They  executed a search warrant at a local storage facility. This led to an arrest of a suspect and the recovery of 41 packages.

The packages contained various items, stolen throughout Alameda but not reported by the victims. 

Detectives have identified many of the victims. They are actively working to identify more victims. 

“If you suspect someone has stolen mail or packages from your residence, it’s always a good idea to report it to APD so we can identify and arrest the party responsible,” APD stated in a release that announced the arrest.
