Alley Up Shuttle Runs Through Alameda Point

A new free weekend shuttle around Alameda Point debuted last Friday, August 25. The Alley Up free shuttle will offer free transportation around Spirits Alley and to other Alameda Point destinations on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The shuttle runs every 10 to 15 minutes. On Fridays, the shuttle runs from noon to 8:25 p.m., on Saturdays from noon to 8:55 p.m., and on Sundays from noon to 6:15 p.m. There will be extended hours during special events. The free program runs until Nov. 5.

The shuttle supplements the AC Transit 96 bus line. The free shuttle has eight stops:
• Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal/USS Hornet: 1801 Ferry Point (service only on Fridays)
• Radium Runway/Seaplane Lagoon Promenade Park/Residential: 2000 Ardent Way
• Almanac/The Rake/Firebrand/Naval Air Museum/DOER/Bladium: 651 W. Tower Ave.
• SaltBreaker Restaurant/StoreHouse Lofts Residential/Malaya: 2350 Saratoga
• Main Street Ferry Terminal: 2990 Main St. (service only on Saturdays & Sundays)
• St. George Spirits/Faction Brewing/Building 43 Winery: 2501 Monarch St
• Dashe Cellars/Urban Legend: 1951 Monarch St.
• Alameda Landing: Fifth Street

The Alameda Transportation Management Association (TMA) is funding the project with money from Alameda Point residents and businesses. The Alameda TMA aims to support local businesses and provide more transportation choices to and from Alameda Point.
